The devastation from the recent 6.7 magnitude earthquake that racked India, Afghanistan and Pakistan is overwhelming. Over 30,000 people have been killed and astoundingly 2.5 million more are believed to be homeless, left with little to protect themselves against the elements as winter approaches.

Currently, the UJA Federation Earthquake Relief Fund has raised more than $17,000, one hundred per cent of which will specifically go towards the crisis in India, through the financing of IsraAid and other Israeli relief organizations that are well known world-wide for their search and rescue skills at the scene of tragic disasters.
