Jewish life and Tzedakah are very important to Ruth and me.
I was raised in an Orthodox family and Jewish tradition was
everything. It even transpired in my work as I was brought
up and involved in a family kosher meat business. Ruths
family was very traditional and Jewish values were certainly
part of her upbringing as well.
When we married 21 years ago the second marriage for
both of us we agreed that Jewish tradition and family
life would be the foundation for our home. We committed to
passing on our love of Israel and Jewish life to our own children.
They, in turn, are now passing it on to their children. From
generation to generation its important to raise
our children with Jewish values and customs. Tzedakah is part
of that tradition.
While family and Jewish life goes hand-in-hand for us, we
realize not everyone has the same opportunities to experience
it. We hope our gift can help others in need and provide those
less fortunate the chance to learn, live and experience Jewish
life.
You have to feel to give. In return you get a good feeling
back. In addition to supporting needs in our own local community,
we feel a strong connection to Israel and visit often.
Our hope for the future of the Jewish people is that we should
prosper and live in Shalom, in peace and in harmony with all
our neighbors.
