Transforming Lives

Breaking the cycle of poverty for the working poor

A unique pilot program aimed at lifting our Jewish community's "working poor" out of poverty and onto the path of self-reliance. This multi-faceted approach will include initiatives aimed at providing expanded employment opportunities, improved housing for families below the poverty line, opportunities for education enhancement and greater engagement in community programs for affected families and their children.

vibrant seniors

Within a short period of time our seniors population will be growing exponentially, creating both new challenges and opportunities for our community. UJA Federation is responding to this demographic reality by embarking on a new initiative to strategically plan for an unprecedented generation of vibrant seniors requiring an entirely new array of services beyond institutional healthcare; allowing seniors to age with dignity while they continue to participate fully in Jewish community life, by coordinating our various agencies in delivering services to this growing population in their residences.

If not now, when?
